11 Ways to Build an Extraordinary Life

People have different views on how they want to make their lives a not-so-ordinary one. Some would say that their lives are extraordinary because they have found happiness: in material things, through one’s achievements or, simply just finding joy in the many endeavors that one undertakes.

There are no norms that are associated with creating an extraordinary life.  It is all based on how a person envisions his life, the way he wants it to be.  Background and upbringing may constitute a big chunk of the decisions that he shall make to achieve his goals because this is where his consciousness was brought to life.

For those people who wish to make something special out of their ordinary lives, 11 ways are given to prepare you.

1. Be who you are – to deny things that define your own personality will never help you to make your life different.  To experience an extraordinary life means that you are happy and with yourself as a person and the people around you.  But this doesn’t mean that if you are in a meager condition, you will stop.  This is the time to shine despite difficulties and never ever settle for anything less.
2. Visualize where you want to go – foresee what you want to achieve and create a path to your destination.  Never allow darkness to interfere for even a moment in your journey.  Before setting off, prepare the things that you see important and bring it with you.  Needless to say, whatever challenge that you come across with, you are ready to win because your focus is set at the finish line. 
3. Begin and end debt free – one cannot consider his life extraordinary when he is being haunted by different financial institutions seeking payment of overdue bills.  Keep in mind that the center of having a special life is never based on material possessions that you have.  These are merely temporary objects that deteriorate by the day, while your tabs balloons uncontrollably.  Become a wise spender, only acquire necessities that are considered investments.
4. Save as much as you can – wouldn’t it be considered extraordinary when you are enjoying the fruits of your labor to the fullest.  Make it a habit to save for the rainy days.  Sure your life may at all times be sunny, but what if a storm suddenly passes your way?  Prioritize your future needs by taking a percentage of your hard earned money on a constant basis.
5. Invest in yourself – you become unique if you are learned.  You add more value to yourself if you acquire further knowledge.  Do not stop where the road ends, seek further, knowledge is power, destroy barriers that hold you back from discovering more.
6. Be in charge if you seek change – have you ever wondered why things don’t always result to how you conceived them?  The answer can be simple, maybe you allow other people to do the things for you.  Become a leader.  Raise your position and stand by it if you truly believe in it. 
7. Accept and learn from mistakes – our faults make us strong individuals if utilized in a positive manner.  Be aware of your mistakes and that of other people, although, you are not to criticize and judge them.  Your work is to identify the parts where all of you stumbled and formulate ideas to transform them the way it should have been.

Invest in your relationships – associating yourself with the right kind of people to whom you share a common goal is a perfect way of investing in your relationships.  Do not enter destructive and corruptive relationships.  Be the best that you can be together with individuals who also want to excel in life.  Treasure your true friends and keep an eye on those people who would only use you for their personal gain.  Relationships are supposed to be a two-way street, free riders should never be welcomed.
9. Unpopular things usually gets popularity – have you ever tried opposing your boss’ orders because you knew it is not for the common good?  I bet not most people would have the courage to do so, however, what benefits will it yield if you do as instructed?  Maybe for your boss, there is a big catch, but for the people who will be affected by such actions, none.  The reason why so much negativity is happening in our society today is because we allow these things to happen despite knowing it obstructive outcome.  Once in a while, people should learn to step up, speak and be heard.

Give your word and keep your word – there is nothing in this world far greater than standing firm on you given word.  It is what makes you different.  Many people who make promises and eventually breaking them gain distrust.  Dependability is such a simple word to utter, yet difficult to execute.  Never make commitments you cannot wholeheartedly commit into. 
11. Remember to give back – you may have been born with a silver spoon, however, humanitarian instincts would always dictate that thousands of people are not as lucky as you have been.  Reach out and by no means that you are to count whatever that has been shared.  Be happy to be the one giving rather than be the one asking for it.
